Users can toggle the device between two primary functional modes:
- Pricing Mode: The standard operational state where the label displays price, unit cost, and promotional information.
- Stocking Mode: Used during inventory or shelf-stocking shifts. This often displays secondary data like stock-on-hand, inner-pack quantities, or replenishment dates to assist store associates.
storeLink can also support other modes as required, such as:
- Temporary Out of Stock (OOS) Mode: Activated for short-term item shortages. The display updates to inform customers the item is temporarily unavailable, helping manage expectations while preserving the shelf placement for imminent replenishment.
- Long-Term Out of Stock (OOS) Mode: Utilized when an item is facing extended supply chain disruptions or manufacturer delays. This layout clearly flags the prolonged vacancy to store teams, signaling that the shelf space may be temporarily reassigned or faced with an extended gap.
