The Retry feature allows store associates and corporate users to quickly resend updates to ESLs that recently experienced update or device failures.
Starting a Retry
When the system has updates or device failures that can be retried, an alert banner will appear at the top of the ESL Error Report screen.
- Last Attempt: The banner shows the date and time the last retry was attempted to prevent redundant commands.
- How to Start: Click Retry Now inside the banner to open the Retry ESLs side panel on the right side of your screen
Using the Retry ESLs Side Panel
Once the panel opens, you can choose exactly which failed updates you want to retry.
- Time Range Dropdown Menu: Select how far back you want to look for failures.
- Last 24 Hours (Selected by default)
- Last 2 Weeks
- Last Month
- Dynamic Content Loading: Choosing a time range will instantly update the list and group the devices by their Error Type.
- Dynamic Header Count: The number in the panel title—'Retry ESLs (#)'—shows the total number of ESLs included in your selected timeframe.
Sending Retry
At the bottom of the side panel, click the Retry ESLs button. The platform will immediately bypass the normal update schedule and send a fresh update command directly to all the ESLs left in your list.
