The performance page allows users to investigate the specific status of an order at the individual device level. This page is critical for troubleshooting deployment failures and ensuring every product on the shelf reflects the correct information.
Store Header & Totals
Each store section begins with a summary bar that identifies the Division / Store Number and local Time Zone. To the right, you will see a snapshot of the order's progress for that specific location:
- Estimated: Total labels updates expected in the batch.
- Actual: Labels successfully transmitted to the ESL vendors.
- Verified vs. Failed: A quick count of successful updates versus those requiring attention.
Navigating The Device Performance Table
The table provides a row-by-row breakdown of every ESL device included in the current order.
| Column | Description |
| ESL ID | The unique hardware identifier for the physical label. |
| Product ID | The SKU or internal item code linked to the label. |
| Department | The specific area of the store (e.g., Seeds, Beans & Lentils) where the item is located. |
| Mode | The current mode/page being displayed on the ES (e.g., Pricing). |
| Sent / Confirmed | Timestamps showing exactly when the data was transmitted and when the system received a response. |
| Status | A visual indicator of verified or failed. |
| Error Type | A specific diagnostic message explaining why a label failed to update. |
Inspecting Device Details
While reviewing the store list under the Performance tab, you can click on any individual ESL ID row to open the Device Details Side Panel.
This panel provides a real-time operational window into that specific label, allowing you to:
- View a live graphic preview of what is currently displaying on the physical store shelf (Shelf Display).
- Check queued promotional graphics (Staging Display).
- Toggle the device’s available operational modes.
- Execute immediate, inline Link and Unlink commands.
- Review the full network Transmission Timeline and error log history for that label.

Personalizing Data View (Column Management)
The Settings icon (represented by the gear symbol in the top-right corner of the table) allows you to personalize your workspace. Since different roles may prioritize different data, this feature ensures you only see the information most relevant to your current task.
How to customize the data columns
- Click the Gear Icon: Located in the header of the device status table.
- Add Columns: Select an item from the Available Columns list on the left and click the Right Arrow (>) to move it into your active view.
- Remove Columns: To hide a column, select it from the Selected Columns list on the right and click the Left Arrow (<) to return it to the available pool.
-
Reorder Your View: The order of the "Selected Columns" list (top to bottom) corresponds to the order they appear in the table (left to right).
- Highlight a column in the right-hand list.
- Use the Up/Down Arrows on the far right to move the column. Items at the top of the list will appear furthest to the left in your table.
- Finalize Changes: Click Save to apply your new configuration immediately, or Cancel to discard changes and return to the previous view.
-
Device Review: Click the chevron (>) at the end of any row to view more technical details for that specific hardware unit.
Why Customize Your Columns?
For Store Users: You may want to hide technical IDs and focus on Status and Error Type to quickly locate failed labels on the floor.
For Corporate Users: You may prefer to prioritize high-level oversight by displaying Price, Brand, and UPC. This allows you to verify that regional pricing strategies and promotional branding are being deployed accurately across all selected divisions.
For Technical Admins: You might choose to display Sent/Confirmed timestamps and Size to troubleshoot network latency or formatting issues.
| 📄Note → Some grid columns are fixed, namely, ESL and Product ID. Grid columns can also be fixed or client specific. This can be made available as per the client's requirement. |
Troubleshooting Common Error Types
When a status is marked as Failed, the Error Type column provides the reason. Common errors include:
- ESL Device unreachable: The transmitter is not able to communicate with the label
- No device signal: The ESL label has not recently communicated with the ESL vendor.
- Product ID not found: The entered Product ID is not found in the store’s data.
- Image upload failed: We could not connect to the ESL vendor to upload the image.
