To streamline store maintenance and error resolution, the Relink button is strategically placed across multiple high-traffic areas of the application. This allows users to instantly correct mismapped devices or update shelf placements without having to navigate away from their current operational view.
Available Screens
You can access the Relink option directly from the Preview panels on the following screens:
- Performance Tab: Mostly used during reviewing device statuses of the current batch.
- Device Management Screen: Best used during routine shelf adjustments, resets, or category updates.
- ESL Error Report Screen: Ideal for rapid troubleshooting when a device flags an error and needs to be assigned to a different product or re-registered.
Executing a Relink to existing UPC
You can relink a connection directly from the Device Management, Performance and ESL Error Report dashboard using the Preview panels:
- Locate the Device: Find the target hardware unit in the grid using the ESL ID. Leverage the search and the filters to locate the desired device quickly.
- Execute the Unlink Command: Click the Unlink icon.
- Deactivation Confirmation: The system will instantly process the request and display a confirmation banner:
"Your device has been deactivated. No images will be displayed on the device
- Product ID Addition and Linking : Add a new product ID in the respective input field and click the Link icon.
| 💡Pro-Tip: If you are reviewing an active deployment on the Performance page and notice a label displaying a critical error, don't waste time navigating over to the Device Management tab. Use the Relink option right there on the item's preview panel to overwrite the connection and trigger a fresh image generation instantly. |
