The ESL Error Breakdown module provides a historical trend analysis of system issues. This tool allows you to track the lifecycle of an error—from the moment it is detected to its final resolution.
Data Lifecycle & Metrics
The chart displays three critical metrics from left to right, providing a clear narrative of your system health:
- Total ESL Errors: The cumulative number of unique errors detected within your selected timeframe.
- Errors Resolved: The total count of issues that have been successfully cleared during the period.
- Errors Still Active: The number of unresolved issues remaining from the "Total ESL Errors" as of the current date.
Timeframe & Trends
- Adjustable Filtering: Analyze data across 1 Day, 1 Week, 1 Month (Default), and 3 Months.
- The 1-Day View: When the 1-Day timeframe is selected, the chart specifically compares data from the previous day to the current date.
- The Comparison Pill: This indicator calculates the percentage change in error counts relative to your selected timeframe.
- Red Alert: To signal an unfavorable trend, the arrow and percentage turn red if the number of errors has increased relative to your selected timeframe.
Global Oversight (Corporate & Store Group Users)
When "All Stores" is selected in the global filters, the module displays a consolidated error breakdown for the entire organization or store group. Corporate and store group users can then drill down into specific stores to see if a particular location is driving the overall error trend.
Reporting & Data Export
- Detailed Investigation: Click the View Report link at the top of the module to open the full ESL Error Report page for a device-by-device list.
- Flexible Exports: Use the "More" (three-dot) menu to download the Breakdown Report in PDF or Excel format.
- Corporate Formatting: If multiple stores are selected, the exported file will automatically include Division and Store columns as the first two data fields to ensure easy identification of store-level issues.
